At Kwangu Kwako, we believe that sustainability is not just an option; it’s the future of construction. We’re thrilled to announce that our latest project has officially been certified EDGE Advanced by EDGE Buildings, a globally recognized certification for resource-efficient buildings.

What Makes This Certification Special?

Our EDGE Advanced certification was achieved post-construction, proving that our sustainability efforts were fully implemented and operational, not just theoretical.

How We Achieved EDGE Advanced:

To reach this milestone, we focused on three key areas:

  1. Energy Efficiency (41% Savings)

We incorporated cutting-edge strategies to significantly reduce energy consumption, including:

✅ Optimized building design with a reduced window-to-wall ratio.

✅ Reflective & insulated roofing to minimize heat absorption.

✅ Natural ventilation to reduce reliance on mechanical cooling.

✅ High-efficiency exterior lighting to lower electricity use.

  1. Water Conservation (49% Savings)

We implemented water-saving features such as:

💧 Water-efficient showerheads, faucets, and toilets in all units.

💧 Efficient kitchen faucets to reduce water waste.

  1. Sustainable Materials (65% Less Embodied Carbon)

We carefully selected building materials that reduce environmental impact, including:

🏗 Precast concrete panels for exterior and interior walls, cutting down material waste.

🏗 Material-efficient concrete slabs and ceramic tiles to optimize resource use.

🏗 Steel window frames with single glazing to balance durability and efficiency.

The Impact: A Greener Future

With an operational CO₂ savings of 13.37 tCO₂ per unit per year, our project significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions, making it a leader in sustainable construction.

Our journey doesn’t stop here. At Kwangu Kwako, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of green building innovation. Achieving EDGE Advanced certification is just the beginning of our mission to build a more sustainable world.

📢 Join us in celebrating this achievement and shaping the future of eco-friendly construction!
